SenGenuity is developing a SAW sensor platform for high temperature chemical sensing applications. Ideal for thin metal or metal oxide sensing films, the platform is built using a simple 250MHz delay line with gold electrodes. A platinum heater/rtd structure is fabricated on the bottom side of the sensor chip to allow precise high temperature control. Intended applications for this platform include industrial and process gases, humidity, combustion gases, hydrogen fuel cell and chemical agents. The animation shown here displays a SAW based high temperature gas sensing platform built from thin metal and metal oxide sensing film. Using these materials, this sensor can be deployed in environments at temperatures of up to 250°C. Using this same technology and the SenGenuity method of device and package design, clients can call on SenGenuity to design a custom solution to gather the data they need.
